Cottages on the River


We are conveniently located in the Village of Hastings, 1 1/2 hours east of Toronto at the east end of Rice Lake and Lock 18 of the Trent Severn Waterway. Come in the summer to fish, golf or relax in the sun or come in the winter to enjoy your own personal Beachcomber Hot Tub. Either way we think you will enjoy the change of pace.

In the summer season we offer 1, 2 and 3 bedroom cottages. In the winter
season we offer 1 and 2 bedroom cottages. All of our cottages are fully
equipped. They each have a three piece bathroom, all beds are double and
are supplied with pillows, comforters and additional blankets. We ask that
you supply your own linens, towels and personal items. All cottages are
heated with electric baseboard heaters and are supplied with gas bbq,
television and vcr.

In the summer we offer a large sundeck with gazebo and lounge chairs for relaxing, lawn games and a fire pit. We also provide paddleboats, kayaks and canoes free of charge.

In the winter we offer a private Beachcomber Hot Tub with each cottage and a fire pit to warm up by.

Also located on the property is a snack shop with board games and a small collection of movies for those rainy days, fish cleaning room and fish freezing facilities. We have docking facilities for your boat or your can rent a fishing boat to go along with your vacation.

Small pets are welcome in the summer season based on prior arrangements with the office. All pets must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.

Weekend reservations:
Check in 2:00 pm on Friday or Saturday - Check out 1:00 pm on Sunday or Monday

Please Note:

Additional persons (children of all ages): $10/night or $50/week.
All cottages rental rates are subject to PST and GST.
Reservations for weekends are not accepted during July and August.

Deposits

A deposit of $100.00 for each week reserved and $50.00 for each weekend reserved is required. Deposits will be refunded (less $25.00 administration fee) if cancellation is received 45 days prior to date of arrival. We accept credit card or cheque.

    Of Course... Fishing

    Fishing is excellent. Species caught include Muskie, Walleye (Pickerel), Large and Small Mouth Bass, Blue Gill, Crappie, Yellow Perch and Rock Bass.

    According to Ontario Government surveys, Rice Lake has more fish per acre than any other lake in Ontario.

    Note: Paddleboats, kayaks and canoes are for pleasure use only, no fishing please.
